Hi, everyone! My name is Tiffany, and the two canine buddies pictured below are Tina and Ike, my partners in crime. This is my very first post on this blog. Woo hoo! New horizons! So what’s next? What am I hoping to accomplish here? Well, I am what you might call a “lay” teacher. I fell into teaching on an impulsive whim, without a whole lot of preparation. It was a daunting experience. I’ve learned a lot along the way, but unfortunately it’s been through trial and error. Not the most efficient way to learn. So, I’ve decided to start this little journal of teaching tips and tricks I’ve picked up along the way. I’ll also try to share some of my most epic fails, in hopes of sparing others the pain of landing flat on one’s face. I’ve done it so much that it doesn’t even hurt any more. Okay, maybe a little sting. 🙂
If you’re a struggling teacher who just needs a boost every now and then, I feel your pain! And so do Ike and Tina! Teaching is tough. But with a tweak here and a twist there, it sure can be fun. So never fear. We can figure it out together. I welcome your comments and contributions, and I hope this site can occasionally be of some use to you. Thanks for visiting!
